This ship is a gift from a fellow modeller (thanks Nektarios!). Again a smaller craft which will fit in well with my other patrol ships. It's also my first JMSDF ship and my first Aoshima kit. From the looks of it, it's going to be a nice kit to build with the usual small additional detailing and corrections. After building three ships from scratch, it's a very welcome change having all the pieces fitting perfectly without having to cut them out myself. The Hayabusa Class is certainly a very potent class of patrol ships and will slowly come together. |

The detailing of the ship including all improvements/modifications is now complete. Improvements included rebuilding the missile platforms and the complete stern. Unlike other ships of this size, the Hayabusas have 3 hydrojets instead of regular screws. I thought that it would be a shame to not detail these quite nice propulsion jets. | ||||

I replaced the part for hawse that came with the
kit since it didn't look anything like the real thing. Also the small mast
received some additional details and everything is ready to be painted.
The ship is now finished with all details, the
only thing missing is only the Japanese name at the stern. I must have
misplaced the decals.
