Part A: The hull | |||
 Building the hull with its very specific curvature at the bow should be the biggest problem. After having decided to use the sandwich method, I first carved out a prototype from styrodur foam, just to study the angles and curvatures. Then construction of the actual hull began. Still a long way to go and many more hours of sanding before the shape comes close to the real ship. |
