  ABOUT ME
    MY BUCKET  LIST  MY TRAVELS

One of my first memories was travelling inside an airplane. At the age of 4, I decided that there was only one profession for me: pilot. In my late teenage years, after realizing that my myopia might be a problem, I was determined to become a police officer. You know, make the world a better place. The last thing on my mind was teaching. However, sometime in my early 20s, after having taken extensive detours into various fields of work, I'm sure you can guess what I ended up doing - and have come to enjoy it quite a lot.

If I ever get to own my own island, its name will be "Noman", just so I can put up a sign that reads "Noman is an island".

I like thinking of photos as time machines. Well, time-capturing machines. Only a photo can capture a specific point in time. Think about it.

My favorite number is 8. 'Upright infinity' as it was once called in the TV Series The Pretender.

"These pretzels... are making me thirsty!" {reference to one of my favorite sitcoms}

I know a failsafe way to get rid of hiccups: ten small consecutive sips of water.

"Weather forecast for tonight: dark. Continued dark overnight, with widely scattered light by morning." {reference to one of my favorite comedians} Humor is important.

Watermelons are like taking a bite out of a very wet sponge. One with seeds.

I have yet to learn to play an instrument. Music should have both a pleasing melody as well as a thoughtful text á la Sting, for instance.

A window seat is a necessity. What better way to gain perspective other than looking out of a window?

New plan: Buy one bottle of wine from every country that I visit. Current number of bottles: 2. Everyone has to start small.

More to come.
